December 23
Christmas music lulled through the air as horses adorned with garland, ribbons and bells pranced like Santa's reindeer around the ring, showcasing their riders.
Johnny 6 Stable's Christmas Hoo Haw was a wonderful way for our riders to show off what they have learned on their beautiful horses or our lesson horses. With the best home-cooked food around (pot-luck) and plenty of chocolate, both parents and children alike were swept up in the Christmas spirt. Our advanced riders were decked out in their show competition clothes and performed solos and team rides. Then our walk and trot riders were able to hop on and show their best to their parents and grandparents. Following that, our young up and coming riders got a chance to ride the special Christmas horses and go for a whirl.
Johnny 6 Stables was proud to be the sponsor for this years Christmas Hoo Haw for our clients. But for next year, we are excited to announce that in keeping with the Christmas spirit, it will be a fund raiser for a chosen Charity.

Jingle Bell Horse Show
December 1-5
Johnny 6 Stables had a great time down in Del Mar at the Jingle Bell Horse Show. This grade A top notch Saddlebred horse show is one of our favorites. With all of the holiday parties and decorated Christmas trees at every turn, it made for a great show. Santa even made an appearance with a horse drawn sleigh, which made for a great photo opportunity. Our youngest rider, Laci (age 5), rode to victory in leadline with her proud parents Lori and Jeremy Clemons. Laci's mom Lori also won her own blue ribbon in the Adult Equitation class aboard Fair Hill's Bold Prince and received high ribbons in the Park Pleasure class aboard Sunset Aria and Five-gaited classes aboard Charmed in a Flash. Regina Hecht rode extremely well in her classes, only having learned 3 weeks earlier how to canter. She earned a strong third place in the Academy Championship. Her mother, Stella, was there to cheer her on.
Teresa Cjornson showed Charmed in a Flash with style in the English Pleasure Red Ribbon class, the proceeds of which go to Children's Hospital. Then she took Fair Hill's Bold Prince to the Championship title in the Junior Exhibitor Country Pleasure class. Johnny Jean Groce started out her show with three tough classes receiving no ribbons in any. Luckily she refused to give up, rode her last class as hard as she could, and ended up taking the Reserve Walk Trot Championship for Riders 8 and Under.
Johnny 6 Stables had a blast at the Jingle Bell Horse Show December 1-5 in beautiful Del Mar Ca.
